Effect of the labor ball combined with free position midwifery on the pain of childbirth and birth control

Objective:To explore the effects of labor ball combined with free position midwifery on the pain of childbirth and birth control.Methods:Sixty natural childbirth primiparas were randomly divided into the control group and observation group(30 cases each group) according to the digital table.The control group were treated with the supine or semi-recumbent position delivery,the observation group were treated with labor ball combined with free position midwifery.The pain of childbirth and birth control between two groups were compared.Results:The birth control score in observation group(3.54±0.89)min was significantly higher than that in control group(6.47 ± 1.62)min(P<0.01).The visual analogue score,speech response score and present pain intensity score in observation group(6.04±1.51),(19.13±4.79) and(2.64±0.67) points were significantly lower than those in control group(8.69±2.18),(28.57±7.15)and(3.98±1.00) points,respectively(P<0.01).Conclusions:The labor ball combined with free position midwifery can alleviate the delivery pain,improve the birth control and promote the successful completion of delivery.
