    The application of the synchronization imaging of electroencephalogram-functional MRI in the locating the epilepsy lesion of temporal lobe

    • Objective:To investigate the application of the synchronization imaging of electroencephalogram-functional MRI(EEG-fMRI) in the locating the epilepsy lesion of temporal lobe.Methods:Seventeen patients with temporal lobe epilepsy were detected using EEG-fMRI.The true location of epileptogenic focus and scope was identified by cortical electrode and deep electrode, which was compared with the results of EEG-fMRI.Results:The location and scope of disease detected by two methods were exactly same in 7 cases.The centre of lesions in 10 cases were unanimous, but the concordant scope was big.Conclusions:EEG-fMRI is a noninvasive method to locate the time and space, which can intuitively know the location of epileptogenic focus and scope in fMRI imaging.
