Comparison of the effect of partial cystectomy and radical cystectomy in the treatment of the T2M0N0 stage bladder cancer

    • Objective:To compare the effects of partial cystectomy and radical cystectomy in the treatment of the T2M0N0 stage bladder cancer. Methods:Sixty patients with T2M0N0 stage bladder cancer were divided into the partial cystectomy group(A group) and bladder radical cystectomy(B group)(30 cases each group). The hospitalization time, operation time, intraoperative bleeding volume, 5-year survival rate and postoperative life quality between two groups were compared. Results:The hospitalized time, operation time and intraoperative bleeding volume in A group were significantly less than those in B group(P<0.01).Evaluation of life quality after operation showed that the overall health in A group was better than that in B group(P<0.01).The difference of the 5-year survival rate between two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusions:The T2M0N0 stage bladder cancer should be treated with the partial cystectomy, the operation time, hospitalized time, intraoperative bleeding volume, postoperative quality of life of which are better than those in radical cystectomy, and the 5-year survival rate between partial cystectomy and radical cystectomy is similar.
