    The relationships between the levels of homocysteine, hypersensitive C reactive protein, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, triglycerides and total cholesterol and acute cerebral infarction

    • Objective:To investigate the relationships between the levels of homocysteine(Hcy),hypersensitive C reactive protein(hs-CRP),low density lipoprotein(LDL-C),triglyceride(TG) and total cholesterol(TC) and acute cerebral infarction(ACI).Methods:Sixty-one patients with ACI and 32 patients without cerebrovascular disease were divided into the ACI group and control group.The levels of Hcy,hs-CRP,LDL-C,TG and TC in two groups were compared.The correlation of the levels of Hcy,hs-CRP,LDL-C,TG and TC with the occurrence of acute cerebral infarction were analyzed.Results:Compared with the control group,the levels of serum Hcy,hs-CRP,LDL-C,TG and TC in ACI group increased(P<0.05 to and P<0.01).The obvious correlation of Hcy with hs-CRP,TG,LDL-C and TC did not found(P >0.05).Conclusions:The levels of the serum Hcy,hs-CRP,LDL-C,TG and TC in patients with acute cerebral infarction increased significantly,whose were the important risk factors of the occurence of cerebral infarction.
