Abstract
Objective:To explore the clinical significance of "alarm symptoms" in the early detection of cancer in elderly community population.Methods:According the case-control study,the “Alarm symptoms"(including anemia,weight loss and swallow) in 50 community elderly population were analyzed using univariate method.Results:The early “alarm symptoms" showed that the incidence rates of anemia,body weight loss,dysphagia and lower gastrointestinal hemorrhage in case group were higher than those in control group(P<0.05 to P<0.01).The comparative analysais of “Alarm symptoms" in gastric cancer and colorectal cancer showed that the incidence rates of anemia,body weight loss,dysphagia and lower gastrointestinal hemorrhage in case group were higher than those in control group(P<0.05 to P<0.01).Conclusions:The early detection of “alarm symptoms" has a certain significance in the diagnosis of tumor.The early evaluation of the “alarm symptoms" can help to the early detection and diagnosis of malignancy.
