Analysis of pathogen distribution and drug resistance in 76 cases with Candida bloodstream infection

    • Objective:To investigate the pathogen distribution and drug resistance of Candida bloodstream infection to provide the basis for clinical rational drug use. Methods:The data of Candida infection isolated from blood culture were retrospectively analyzed in the First Affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medical College from 2010 to 2014.Results:The 2 237 stains pathogenic bacteria were isolated from 19 245 blood culture specimens, which included 76 strains Candida, and the detection rate was 3.4%.Among the 76 strains Candida, the detect rates of Candida albicans,C.glabrata and C.parapsilosis were 51.3%(39/76),18.4%(14/76) and 15.8% (12/76),respectively,and the patients mainly came from the ICU(14.5%,11/76),and the department of Hematology(11.8%,9/76).The 76 strains Candida were the highest sensitivity to amphotericin B and flucytosine, the sensitive rate of which was 97.4%.The sensitivity rate of 76 strains Candida to voriconazole, fluconazole and itraconazole were 96.1%m,90.8% and 88.2%,respectively.Conclusions:The main pathogen of Candida isolated from bloodstream infection was Candida albicans. The sensitivities of Candida to amphotericin B and flucytosine are the highest, and the sensitive rate of Candida to fluconazole and itraconazole begin to decrease.
