The effect of low frequency pulse therapy combined with acupoint massage on the limb function of patients with apoplexy hemiparalysis

Objective:To investigate the effects of low frequency pulse therapy combined with acupoint massage on muscle strength and ability of self-care of patients with apoplexy hemiparalysis.Methods:Sixty patients with apoplexy hemiparalysis were randomly divided into the intervention group and control group(30 cases each group).The control group were treated with conventional method,and the intervention group were treated with low frequency pulse therapy combined with acupoint massage based on conventional method.The muscle strength and improvement of ability of self-care between two groups were compared.Results:After treatment,the muscle strength and improvement of ability of self-care in intervention group were significantly better than those in control group(P<0.01).Conclusions:The low frequency pulse therapy combined with acupoint massage can improve the muscle strength and ability of self-care in patients with apoplexy hemiparalysis.
