Effect of the alprostadil combined with telmisartan in the treatment of diabetic nephropathy

Objective: To explore the curative effects of alprostadil combined with telmisartan in the treatment of diabetic nephropathy(DN),and its effect on TNF-α and IL-6.Methods: One hundred and twenty with diabetic nephropathy were randomly divided into two groups(60 cases each group).The levels of fasting blood glucose(FBG),postprandial 2h plasma glucose(2hPBG),systolic blood pressure(SBP),diastolic pressure(DBP),urea(BUN),serum creatinine(Scr),urinary albumin,24h total urinary albumin,serum TNF-α and IL-6 between pretreatment and after 4 weeks of treatment were compared.Results: After treatment,all indicators in two groups decreased,the fall of the levels of 2hPBG,SBP,DBP,Mb,BUN,Scr,Mb,24hTUB,TNF-α and IL-6 in observation group were more significant than those in control group(P<0.01).Conclusions: The treatment of diabetic nephropathy with alprostadil combined with telmisartan has significantly effects,the effect of the joint drugs is better than that in single drug,which can effectively control and delay further development of disease.
