Abstract
Objective: To explore the expressions of the different genotypes of Helicobacter pylori(Hp) in patients with type 2 diabetesmellitus(T2DM).Methods: One hundred and seventy patients with T2DM and 170 non-T2DM were divided into the observation group and control group, respectively. The fasting blood glucose, body mass index, ratio of waist to hip,Hp infection, genotypes of cytotoxin associated protein and vacuolating cytotoxin associated protein of Hp,and the levels of glycated haemoglobin, fasting insulin and insulin sensitivity index between two groups were compared and analyzed. Results: The fasting blood glucose, body mass index, ratio waist to hip, infection rate of Hp,and the positive rates of cytotoxin associated protein and vacuolating cytotoxin associated protein of Hp in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group(P<0.01).The levels of glycated haemoglobin and fasting insulin in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group, the insulin sensitivity index in observation group was significantly lower than that in control group(P<0.01).Conclusions: The genotypes of cytotoxin associated protein and vacuolating cytotoxin associated protein of Hp play an important role in the occurrence process of T2DM.
