The postoperative psychological problem and nursing in adult treated with circumcision

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the postoperative psychological problems in adult treated with circumcision,and formulate the nursing intervention.Methods: Four hundred and thirty-two adult patients treated with circumcision were randomly divided into the control group(208 cases) and observation group(216 cases).The influencing factors of the postoperative psychological status were investigated,the corresponding nursing intervention measure was formulated.The depression and anxiety between two groups were compared before and after treatment.Results: The postoperative psychological status in patients treated with circumcision were affected by many factors,and the main influencing factors included worrying about surgery success(96.6%),postoperative complications(89.9%),marriage(88.0%),recurrence(82.2%) and postoperative pain(73.1%).Compared with that before intervention,the anxiety and depression symptoms in two groups reduced significantly after implementating nursing intervention(P<0.01).The scores of the anxiety and depression symptoms in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group after nursing intervention(P<0.01).Conclusions: The postoperative anxiety and depression symptoms are usually found in adult treated with circumcision.Implementating nursing intervention can effectively improve the psychological condition and promote recovery of patients.
