The application of POSSUM scoring in the precision nursing intervention for postoperative complications of pancreatoduodenectomy

Objective: To investigate the application effects of POSSUM scoring in the precision nursing intervention for postoperative complications of pancreatoduodenectomy.Methods: Eight hundred and twenty-four patients treated with pancreatoduodenectomy were randomly divided into the observation group and control group,412 cases each group.Two groups were nursed with routine care.The risks of postoperative complication in the observation group were predicted with the POSSUM scoring system,and the high risk patients were treated with the targeted intervention.Results: The incidence of postoperative complication in observation group was lower than that in control group(P<0.01),and the difference of the incidence of predicting complication between two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The incidence of actual complication was lower than that of predicting complication using POSSUM scoring in observation group(P<0.01).The difference of the incidence between predicting and actual complication was not statistical significance(P>0.05).Conclusions: The application of POSSUM scoring in predicting the risk of pancreatoduodenectomy is accurate and valuable,which can decrease the postoperative complication of pancreatoduodenectomy,and improve the prognosis.
