    Effect of the Meridian Needling combined with proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation in the treatment of peripheral facial paralysis

    • Objective: To observe the effects of Meridian Needling combined with proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation in the treatment of peripheral facial paralysis.Methods: Sixty-two patients with peripheral facial paralysis were randomly divided into the treatment group(32 cases) and control group(30 cases).The control group and treatment group were treated with pure acupuncture and Meridian Needling combined with proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation,respectively.The curative effects between two groups were compared.Results: The curative effect in treatment group was significantly better than that in control group(P<0.01).Conclusions: The treatment of peripheral facial paralysis with Meridian Needling combined with proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation is an effective method.
