Effect of the different dialysis modes on hypotension in middle-elderly patients

    • Objective: To explore the effects of low temperature adjustable sodium dialysis mode on hypotension in middle-elderly patients. Methods: Ten hypotension for ≥2 times middle-elderly patients treated with regularly hemodialysis for continuous 4 times were divided into the standard group(treatment with standard dialysis mode) and low temperature group(treatment with low temperature adjustable sodium dialysis mode),and two groups were treated for 4 weeks,12 times each mode. The body temperature, heart rate, and blood pressure and heart rate at 30-minute intervals during the process of dialysis were monitored before and after dialysis. The times of hypotension, related symptoms and nurse intervention in two groups were recorded. Results: The incidence of hypotension and times of nurse intervention in low temperature group were significantly less than those in standard group(P<0.01).During and after dialysis, the systolic and diastolic pressure in low temperature group were obviously higher than those in standard group(P<0.01).Conclusions: Lower temperature adjustable sodium dialysis can effectively reduce the occurrence of hypotension, and improve the tolerance to dialysis in middle-elderly patients, which is a safe and effective therapy.
