    Status of the critical thinking ability in nursing undergraduates and specialists,and its influencing factors

    • Objective: To investigate the current status of critical thinking abilities in nursing undergraduate and specialists,and analyze its influencing factors.Methods: Five hundred nursing undergraduates and specialists selected by stratified cluster sampling were investigated using the general questionnaire and critical thinking skills measurement table.The influencing factors of critical thinking ability of nurses were analyzed using the non-conditional logistic regression model.Results: The total scores of critical thinking abilities in nursing undergraduates and specialist were(254.33±9.11) and(227.53±8.88),respectively.The scores of 7 dimensions of critical thinking ability and its total scores in nursing undergraduates were significantly higher than those in nursing specialists(P<0.01).The characteristics,student community activity and simulation teaching were the main influencing factors of critical thinking abilities of nurses(P<0.05 to P<0.01).Conclusions: Nursing undergraduates and specialist have positive critical thinking abilities,which is in the low or middle level.
