    Effect of the volunteer motivation and organizational identification on the job performance of the clinical nurses in tertiary hospital

    • Objective: To investigate the effects of the volunteer motivation and organizational identification on the job performance of the clinical nurses in tertiary hospital.Methods: A total of 242 nurses from the tertiary hospital were investigated using the volunteer motivation scale,organizational identification scale and job performance scale.Results: Both the volunteer motivation and organizational identification were positive correlation with the job performance(P<0.05 to P<0.01).The volunteer motivation and organizational identification directly affected the job performance.The organizational identification played a mediating role in the relationship between volunteer motivation and job performance,the mediating effect of which accounted for 29.55% of the total effect in job performance.Conclusions: The job performance of clinical nurses in tertiary hospital is at moderate level.Nursing managers can enhance the job performance of nurses by improving the volunteer motivation and organizational identification.
