Anchors for the treatment of Danis-Weber B fractures combined with deltoid ligament injury in 15 cases

Objective:To observe the clinical outcome after the anchors for the treatment of the deltoid ligament iniury associated with Danis-Weber B fractures.Methods:Fifteen deltoid ligament ruptures associated with Danis-Weber B fractures were repaired and given open reduction and internal fixation.Results:All the patients were followed up for 4-28 months,average 15.6 months.These patients got a good healing without complications of infection,necrosis,screw loosening and traumatic arthritis and so on.AOFAS Ankle-Hindfoot Scale system showed 79-97 points,average 87.6 points.Furthermore,excellent in 12 cases,good in 3 cases,and the excellent and good rate was 100%.Conclusions:The results indicate that anchor in the repair of deltoid ligament injury during the treatment of ankle fracture with open reduction internal fixation can achieve satisfactory therapeutic effect and worthy to be popularized.
