Characteristics of CT perfusion imaging in wake-up ischemic stroke and ischemic stroke within 6 hours

Objective:To compare the clinical and CT perfusion imaging(CTP) characteristics between the wake-up ischemic stroke(WUIS) and ischemic stroke(IS) within 6 hours.Methods:Thirty-eight patients with WUIS and 42 patients with IS within 6 hours were divided into the WUIS group and control group.All patients were examined using the multi-mode CT.Results:The differences of the number and size of infarct,and penumbra,and the CTP pattern between two groups were not statistically significant(P>0.05),and the differences of the ASPECTS scores of CT,MRI and CTP between two groups were not statistically significant(P>0.05).The ASPECTS score of initial CT was significantly higher than that of CTP and CT or MRI after 3 days(P<0.01).The NIHSS score in WUIS group was significantly higher than that in control group(P<0.01).Conclusions:The characteristics of CTP in WUIS patients are similar to the patients with IS within 6 hours.
