Correlation analysis between heart rate deceleration force and heart rate variability in patients with type 2 diabetes complicated with peripheral neurpathy

    • Objective:To explore the correlation between heart rate deceleration force(DC) and heart rate variability(HRV) in patients with type 2 diabetes complicated with peripheral neuropathy. Methods:One hundred patients with type 2 diabetes were divided into the type 2 diabetics group(DM group,42 cases) and type 2 diabetes peripheral neuropathy(DPN group,58 cases). All cases were detected using the 24 hours dynamic electrocardiogram, and the relationship between HRV and DC was analyzed. Results:The parameters of DC and HRV in DPN group were significantly lower than those in DM group(P<0.01).After the effect of HbAc was corrected, the DC in DNP and DM group were positive correlation with the parameters of HRV(including SDNN,RMSSD and PNN50)(P < 0.05 to P < 0.01).Conclusions:The DC and HRV in patients with type 2 diabetes complicated with peripheral neuropathy significantly decrease, and the DC is closely associated with HRV.DC can be used to quantitatively assess the vagal tone of patients with type 2 diabetes, which is a sensitive indicator in early diagnosis of diabetic autonomic system damage.
