Clinical analysis of the cerebral venous sinus thrombosis in 80 cases

    • Objective:To investigate the clinical manifestations and imaging features of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis(CVST).Methods:The clinical manifestations and imaging features of CVST in 80 cases were retrospectively analyzed. Results:Among 80 patients diagnosed by CVST,acute onset(<1 week) in 38 cases, subacute onset(1 week to 1 month) in 31 cases and chronic onset(>1 month) in 11 cases were identified.Headache was the first symptom.Thirty-two cases involved in single venous sinus, and 48 cases involved in multiple sinuses. The display rates of direct sign and indirect sign in brain CT were 15.00% and 21.25%,respectively.The positive rate of brain MRI/MRV was 100%.Seventy-two cases were treated with low molecular weight heparin calcium, the effective rate was 85.00%,and recurrence rate was 1.25%.Conclusions:CVST often occures in young people and middle-aged,which has various types of onset and complex causes.Infection, puerperal and oral contraceptive are the most common causes.Headache is the most common and first symptom. The clinical symptom of CVST lacks the specificity, and the clinical symptoms combined with brain MRI/MRV can definitely diagnose.Anticoagulation effect is obvious, and the prognosis is good.
