    The investigation of the emotion management ability in medical students

    • Objective:To investigate the present situation of the emotion management ability in Anhui medical students,and provide the theory evidence in improving their emotion management abilities.Methods:Seven hundred seventy-nine medical students from three medical college in Anhui were selected using the method of stratified cluster sampling.The students were investigated using the "general demographic characteristics questionnaire" and "emotion management ability of medical students scale" in the way of group test.Results:The score of the emotion evaluation in girl students was better than that in the boy students(P<0.05).The differences of the scores of the emotion management,evaluation,feel,expression and regulation abilities between the only child and non-only child were not statistically significant(P>0.05).The differences of the scores of the emotion expression abilities in students with the democratic,authoritarian,indulgent and ignore parental rearing styles were statistically significant(P<0.05),and the emotion expression ability in students with the democratic parental rearing style was better than that in student with authoritarian parental rearing style(P<0.05).Emotional swing of 53.53% medical students happened during the end of the semester,96.28% medical students thought that the emotion management activity was little or no,and only 3.72% medical students thought that the emotion management activity was often.Conclusions:The emotion management abilities of medical students in different sex and parent rearing style are different,and whether it is only child or not,which is not significant difference.Emotional swing of most medical students happen during the end of the semester,and the emotion management activity is less.
