Effect of the family-centered care guidance on the families with enterostomy children

Abstract
Objective:To explore the effects of the family-centered care guidance on the enterostomy children and their patient.Methods:The data of 52 children treated with enterostomy and their parent were collected using the method of convenient sampling from January 2014 to May 2015,and the parent were intervened with the family-centered care mode.The psychological condition and disease awareness of parents were evaluated before and after intervention.Results:During the intervention,5 cases with skin dermatitis around stoma were found,and which was improved after care guidance.The scores of anxiety and depression of parent after intervention were significantly lower than those before intervention(P<0.01).The awareness of pediatric colostomy nursing knowledge in parent after intervention was significantly higher than those before intervention(P<0.01).Conclusions:The family-centered care mode can effectively alleviate the psychological burden of parent,significantly improve the ability of taking care of infants with stoma of parent,and reduce the postoperative complications.
