The clinical observation of the percutaneous coronary intervention via brachial artery in 40 cases

    • Objective:To explore the safety and validity of the percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI) via brachial artery. Methods:The PCI patients from March 2009 to September 2013 were divided into the brachial artery group(40 cases),radial artery group(80 cases) and femoral artery group(85 cases) according to the operation path. The success rate and time of puncture, success rate of complex lesion operation, surgical complication and prognosis between three groups were compared. Results:The puncture time and operation time in brachial artery group were less than those in radial artery group(P<0.01),the success rates of the puncture and complex lesion operation in the three groups have statistical significance(P<0.01 and P<0.05).The hospitalization time in brachial artery group was less than that in femoral artery group(P<0.01),and the surgical complication in brachial artery group was less than that in femoral artery group(P<0.05).The differences of the prognosis between three groups were not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusions:The PCI via brachial artery is a safe and effective operation approach, which has great value in clinical application.
