The effect evaluation of comprehensive intervention of AIDS in MSM population, and its high-risk influencing factors analysis

    • Objective:To evaluate the effects of the comprehensive intervention of human immunodeficiency virus(HIV) in men who have sex with men(MSM),and analyze its influencing factors of the high-risk behavior. Methods:Four hundred and thirteen MSM volunteers were intervened with the comprehensive intervention measures. The questionnaire,HIV antibody and syphilis were investigated and analyzed before and after the intervention, and the effect of the intervention was evaluated. Results:Compared with before intervention, the cognition rate about AIDS in MSM crowd increased significantly from 87.9% to 96.0% after intervention(P<0.01).After the comprehensive intervention, the condom use rates in the last time sexual behavior, last six months sexual behavior and last six months commercial sexual behavior significantly increased in MSM population(P <0.05 to P <0.01).The condom use rate in the sexual behavior of MSM population with female also increased significantly(P<0.01).Logistic regression analysis showed that age, marital status, education, knowledge related to AIDS and intervention service had a significant effect on the condom use of last six months sexual behavior among MSM population(P<0.05).Conclusions:The AIDS knowledge,self-protection awareness and condom use rate among MSM are significantly increased after comprehensive interventions, but the luck in some MSM population still exists, and the condom use rate does not arrive at 100%.How to strengthen risk awareness in this population is the focus of research.
