Effect of the dynamic assessment of motion combined with mirror therapy on the motion function and quality of life of patients with stroke

    • Objective: To investigate the dynamic assessment of motion combined with mirror therapy on the motion function and quality of life of patients with stroke. Methods: Three hundred and sixty stroke patients were divided into the control group, motion assessment group and combined treatment group(120 cases each group). The control group, motion assessment group and combined treatment group were treated with the conventional neurology treatment, dynamic assessment of motion based on conventional treatment, and dynamic assessment of motion combined with mirror therapy for 1 month, respectively. The scores of Fugl-Meyer assessment and quality of life in three groups between before and after treatment were compared. Results: There was no statistical significance in Fugl-Meyer assessment score between three groups before treatment(P>0.05).The Fugl-Meyer assessment scores in combined treatment group two weeks and one month after treatment were significantly higher than those in control group and motion assessment group(P<0.01).The Fugl-Meyer score in motion assessment group two weeks after treatment was significantly higher than that in control group(P<0.01).Before the treatment, the scores of mental function, social function, physical function and material life of patients between three groups were not statistically significant(P>0.05).After the treatment, the scores of mental function, social function and physical function in combined treatment group were significantly higher than those in control group and motion assessment group(P<0.05).Conclusions: The effect of dynamic assessment of motion combined with mirror therapy on the stroke patients is obvious, which can significantly improve the motion function and quality of life, release the negative emotion and speed up the recovery of patients, and is worthy of promotion.
