Effect of the transabdominal amnioinfusion in the treatment of oligohydramnios during the second trimester and its effect on the prenatal outcome

Objective: To investigate the effects of transabdominal amnioinfusion in the treatment of oligohydramnios during the second trimester and its effects on the prenatal outcome. Methods: Sixty-three patients with oligohydramnios during the second trimester were divided into the observation group and control group according to the voluntariness principle.The control group and observation group were treated with the conventional method and transabdominal amnioinfusion surgery,respectively.The curative effects was compared. Results: The diagnostic rate of ultrasound in observation group(93.3%) was significantly higher than that in control group(51.5%)(P<0.01).The gestational weeks,number of newborn and birth weight in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group(P<0.01),and the difference of the 1min Apgar score after birth between two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The number of pulmonary hypoplasia in observation group was less than that in control group(P<0.05),and the differences of the number of fetal distress,chorioamnionitis and deformities between two groups were not statistically significant(P>0.05). Conclusions: The treatment of oligohydramnios during the second trimester with transabdominal amnioinfusion can timely excluded the fetal anomalies,effectively improve the prenatal outcome and reduce complications.
