Effect of teaching model of clinical college on the learning effect of nursing students

Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the influence of teaching model of clinical college on the learning effect of nursing students. Methods: The nursing students from grade 2013 and grade 2014 with similar academic achievement and gender composition were randomly divided into the clinical college teaching class and traditional teaching class.The teaching effects of two classes were evaluated using course achievement and questionnaire. Results: There were no statistical significances in the average grade of medical nursing,surgical nursing,obstetrics and gynecology nursing,and pediatric nursing between two classes(P>0.05).The learning initiative and time management ability in clinical college teaching class were better than those in traditional teaching class(P<0.05).The learning efficiency and nursing technical operation ability in traditional teaching class were better than those in clinical college teaching class(P<0.05).The top three favorite teaching methods of students were case teaching method,scene simulation teaching method and bedside teaching method in turn. Conclusions: The course achievement of teaching model of clinical college is the same as the traditional teaching model,and teaching model of clinical college can help students to improve critical thinking,problems-solving ability,time management ability and autonomous learning ability.
