Assessment of efficacy of multimodal analgesia in orthopaedic perioperative pain management

    • Objective:To explore the effects of multimodal analgesia on alleviating the orthopedic preoperative pain.Methods:Seventy-six orthopedic preoperative patients were randomly divided into the observation group and control group. The observation group were treated with multimodal analgesia management, and the control group were treated with normal processing. The effect and degree of pain control, alleviating degree of pain and sleep satisfaction after 3 days of operation between two groups were compared. Results:The effects and satisfaction of pain control in observation group were better than those in control group(P<0.05 to P<0.01).The alleviating degrees of pain and sleep satisfaction after 3 days of operation in observation group were significantly better than those in control group(P<0.01).Conclusions:The multimodal analgesia management can effectively control the orthopedic preoperative pain, and improve comfort and satisfaction of patients during treatment.
