Effect of clinical pharmacist intervention on promoting the rational use of antibiotics in orthopaedics

Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the effects of pharmacist intervention on preventive use antibiotics in perioperation of clean incision.Methods:All patients with clean incision operation in December2015(pre-intervention group) and April2016(post-intervention group) were selected.The indicators of preventive use of antibiotics between before and after intervention of clinical pharmacist were compared.Results:After clinical pharmacist intervention,the administration time and drug variety of preventive use antibiotics in perioperation of clean incision changed(P<0.01),the course of drug use was significantly shortened(P<0.01),and the drug expense significantly decreased compared before intervention(P<0.01).Conclusions:The pharmacist intervention on preventive use antibiotics in perioperation of clean incision has a certain significance in promoting the rational use of antibacterial drug and decreasing the expense of antibacterial drug。
