Effect of the postoperative nutrition support combined with idea of damage control surgery on patients with colorectal cancer complicated with intestinal obstruction

Objective:To explore the application value of the nutrition support after damage control surgery in patients with colorectal cancer complicated with intestinal obstruction.Methods:The level of the serum albumin(ALB),prealbumin,blood Na⁺ and HCO₃^-,body mass and body mass index in 43 patients with colorectal cancer complicated with intestinal obstruction were analyzed.ALL were treated with early enteral nutrition or Parenteral nutrition support and damage control surgical concept.These complications and prognosis of patients were observed.Results:Compared with the patients after 1 day of operation,the levels of the serum ALB,and blood Na⁺ and HCO₃^- of patients 7 days after operation significantly increased(P<0.01),and the level of prealbumin,abdominal circumference,body mass and body mass index of patients 7 days after operation significantly decreased(P<0.01).Conclusions:The treatment of the colorectal cancer complicated with intestinal obstruction with the early nutrition support combined with damage control surgery can improve the postoperative nutrition condition and prognosis,and enhance the cure rate of patients.
