Clinical study of Chenlanhua granules combined with antibiotics in the treatment of bacterial biofilm of chronic wounds in diabetic foot

    • Objective: To investigate the inhibiting effects of Chenlanhua granules combined with antibiotics on bacterial biofilm of chronic wounds in diabetic foot. Methods: Seventy-one patients with chronic wounds of diabetic feet were randomly divided into the observation group(35 cases) and control group(36 cases). The control group were treated with 0.9% sodium chloride injection by external use,and the observation group were additionally treated with Chenlanhua granules based on the control group for 2 weeks. The bacterial detection rate, colony count, and the levels of serum high sensitive C reactive protein(hs-CRP),interleukin-6(IL-6) and procalcitonin(PCT)in two groups were observed before and after treatment. Results: After treatment, the total healing rate of wounds in observation group was significantly higher than that in control group(P<0.01).The differences of the pathogenic bacteria of wounds between before and after treatment were not statistically significant in two groups(P>0.05).The difference of the D-value of colony count of wounds between two groups was statistically significant after treatment(P<0.01).The levels of hs-CRP,IL-6 and PCT in two groups significantly decreased(P<0.05),and the decreasing degrees of whose in observation group were more obvious(P<0.05 to P<0.01).Conclusions: The treatment of diabetic foot chronic wounds with Chen Lanhua granules can inhibit the expression of inflammatory factor and remove the bacterial biofilm in synergy with antibiotic, the curative effect of which is significant.
