Abstract
Objective: To investigate the value of metastasis associated protein 2(MTA2) expression level in the prediction of the prognosis of patients with colorectal cancer. Methods: The levels of MTA2 mRNA and protein expression in 90 cancer tissue samples and adjacent noncancer tissue samples were detected using the tissue microarrays and immunohistochemistry, respectively. The relationship between MAT2 level and clinicopathologic features were statistically analyzed. Results: Compared with the adjacent noncancer tissue, the expression of MTA2 in colorectal cancer was upregulated(P<0.05).The MTA2 expression was an independent correlation factor of colorectal cancer, which was closely correlated with the poor prognosis of patients(P<0.01).Conclusions: The MTA2 is closely correlated with the prognosis of patients with colorectal cancer, which has more higher value in evaluating the clinical effect and prognosis of patients with colorectal cancer.
