Clinical efficacy and safety evaluation of radiofrequency ablation combined with doxorubicin in the treatment of neuropathic pain

    • Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of radiofrequency ablation combined with doxorubicin in the treatment of neuropathic pain. Methods: Sixty neuropathic pain patients were randomly divided into the observation group and control group(30 cases each group). The control group were treated with conventional Western medicine, and the observation group were treated with radiofrequency ablation combined with doxorubicin for 4 weeks(2 courses). The clinical efficacy of two groups, pain and sleep improvement after treatment and incidence of adverse events between two groups were compared. Results: The total effective rate in observation group was higher than that in control group(P<0.05).The visual analog scale score in two groups decreased after treatment(P<0.05),and the visual analog scale score in observation group after treatment was lower than that in control group(P<0.05).The scores of sleep in two groups after treatment decreased(P<0.05),and the sleep score in observation group after treatment was lower than that in control group(P<0.05).No serious adverse reaction was found in two groups. Conclusions: The treatment of neuropathic pain with radiofrequency ablation combined with adriamycin injection is effective and safe.
