Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the effects of health care on the growth and development of school-age children.Methods: The sociodemographic information and health care status in 358 school-age children were investigated,and the indexes of growth and development of children were measured.The differences of the growth and development of school-age children under different health care were analyzed.Results: Intaking carbonated beverage could lead to the increasing of body mass index(P<0.01).The body height and head circumference in children with regular examination were higher than those in children with irregular examination(P<0.01 and P<0.05).The children height was positively related to the score of health care(P<0.05).Conclusions: Health care can play an important role in the growth and development of school-age children,and which is in favour of strengthening physical development,reducing the risk of nutritional diseases,has important public health significance,and is worthy of promotion in clinic.
