Abstract
Objective:To investigate the effectiveness and prognosis of microsurgery in the treatment of cavernous angiomas in brain stem.Methods:The remission of clinical symptoms in 12 patients with cavernous hemangioma were observed after operation.The quality of life in all cases between before and after operation was compared using the European cancer research and treatment group scale.Results:The incidence rates of headache,vomiting and ataxia in all patients reduced after operation(P<0.05).The total score of life quality and each dimension score in all patients between before operation,after 3,6 and 12 months of operation were different,and the scores of life quality after 3,6 and 12 months of operation were higher than that of before operation(P<0.05).Conclusions:The effect of microsurgical treatment of cavernous hemangioma in brain stem is good,which can improve the prognosis and the quality of life of patients after operation.
