Targeted monitoring of multi-drug resistant bacteria infection and analysis of its risk factors

    • Objective:To analyze the risk factors of multi-drug resistant organisms(MDROs) infection for providing the basis in controlling infection and formulating prevention and control measures. Methods:The distribution, pathogenic species and specimens origin of MDROs were investigated by targeted monitoring, and the risk factors of MDROs infections were analyzed. Results:Two hundred and sixty-seven strains of MDROs were detected in 2014.The MDROs were mostly isolated from Intensive care unit(18.73%),and the largest amount of MDROs was ESBLs-producing E.coli(58.05%).The main specimens origin were urine(36.33%) and phlegm(31.09%).The multivariate analysis showed that the long hospital stay, hypertension, using respirator, indwelling catheter and operation were the independent risk factors of MDROs infection(P< 0.05 to P< 0.01).Conclusions:The MDROs infection is related to the hospital stay time, hypertension, using respirator, indwelling catheter and operation. The relevant control measures should be implemented according to the risk factors in order to improve the efficiency of controlling hospital infection and quality of diagnosis, and promote prognosis of patients.
