The psychology status of patients with glaucoma during the perioperative period and its influencing factor analysis

    • Objective:To investigate the psychology status of patients with glaucoma during the perioperative period, and its influencing factors.Methods:Eighty-five glaucoma patients with operation, and 85 cases without operation were divided into the observation group and control group. The psychology status in observation group before operation, after 1 and 2 weeks of operation, and control group were evaluated using Anxiety and Depression Scale(HAD).The HAD score in observation group at different ages, genders and education degree were compared. Results:Compared with control group, the HAD scores in observation group before operation and after 1 week of operation increased(P<0.01),and the difference of the HAD score between the observation group after 2 weeks of operation and control group was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Among the observation group, the HAD score in patients <60 years old was higher than that in patients ≥ 60 years old before operation and after 1 week of operation(P<0.01),and the difference of the HAD score between two age groups after 2 weeks of operation was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The scores of HAD in patients with primary and lower secondary education level before operation and after 1 week of operation were higher than that in patients with secondary and above level(P<0.01),and the difference of the HAD score at different time between male and female was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusions:The psychology status of patients with glaucoma during the perioperative period is relatively bad,and the influence of age and education degree of patients is great.
