    Correlation analysis of the serum level of 25-hydroxy vitamin D3 with inflammation and nutritional status in maintenance hemodialysis patients

    • Objective: To analyze the correlations of the indexes of nutrition and inflammation with serum levels of 25-hydroxy D3 in maintenance hemodialysis(MHD) patients so as to supply the basis for clinical nutrition evaluation.Methods: The serum level of 25-hydroxy vitamin D3,and indexes of clinical nutrition and inflammation in 127 patients treated with MHD were detected.The correlations of the serum levels of 25-hydroxy vitamin D3 with indexes of nutrition and inflammation with in all patients were analyzed by the results of malnutrition-inflammation score(MIS).Results: All patients were divided into the normal serum vitamin D3 group(19 cases),insufficient vitamin D3 group(90 cases) and deficient vitamin D3group(18 cases).The results of ANOVA analysis indicated that the differences of the levels of TP,ALB,HCY,CRP and TC between three groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).The correlation analysis indicated that the level of vitamin D3 was positively correlated with the levels of TP,HB,ALB and serum calcium(P<0.05),and negatively correlated with the level of CRP(P<0.01).The results of multi-factorial linear regression analysis showed that the ALB and CRP were main influencing factor of vitamin D3.Conclusions: The incidence of 25-hydroxy vitamin D3 insufficiency or deficiency is high in MHD patients.The inflammation status and nutritional condition are closely correlated with the serum level of 25-hydroxy vitamin D3.
