Effect of turmeric acne-removing liniment in the treatment of mild and moderate acne in 31 cases

Objective: To compare the effects between turmeric acne-removing liniment combined with erythromycin enteric-coated capsule and adapalene gel combined with erythromycin enteric-coated capsule in the treatment of the mild and moderate acne vulgaris.Methods: Sixty-two patients with mild or moderate acne vulgaris were divided into the group A and group B according to the single-blind randomized controlled trial(31 cases each group).The group A and group B were treated with turmeric acne-removing liniment combined with erythromycin enteric-coated capsule and adapalene gel combined with erythromycin enteric-coated capsules,twice daily,for 8 weeks.The skin lesion in two groups were observed after treatment.Results: The effective rates in group A and group B were 74.2% and 77.4%,respectively,the difference of which was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusions: The treatment effect of Turmeric Acne-removing Liniment combined with Erythromycin Enteric-coated Capsule is significant and less adverse reaction,which is worthy of clinical application.
