Angiographic diagnosis and interventional therapy of lower digestive tract hemorrhage

    • Objective: To explore the interventional diagnosis and treatment of lower digestive tract hemorrhage. Methods: Twenty-two patients with lower digestive tract hemorrhage were detected using the digital substrate angiography(DSA).The bleeding lesions were treated with superselective artery embolization or transcatheter infusion vasopressin. Results: Among 22 patients,19 cases were clearly diagnosed, the positive diagnosis rate of which was 86.4%(19/22).Jejunum bleeding in 9 cases, ileum bleeding in 5 cases and colon bleeding in 5 cases were found. The hemostasis in 18 cases was successfully completed, the success rate of treatment was 94.7%(18/19).All patients were followed up for 6 to 12 months, the rebleeding in 2 cases were identified, and no severe complication was found. Conclusions: The interventional radiology in the diagnosis and treatment of lower digestive tract hemorrhage is safe and effective, especially, the interventional therapy has unique clinical values.
