Application of the transfusion quality monitoring in clinical transfusion nursing

    • Objective: To investigate the application effects of the transfusion quality monitoring in clinical transfusion nursing. Methods: Two hundred and forty-eight patients from January 2015 to June 2016 and 240 patients from June 2012 to December 2014 were divided into the observation group and control group, respectively. The transfusion quality in observation group was monitored during whole nursing course according to the standard process, and the control group was operated according to the conventional transfusion process. The error rate, incidence rate of adverse reaction during the process of blood transfusion and satisfaction rate of patients between two groups were compared. The understanding of basic transfusion knowledge, basic skills and related laws in nurses between two group were compared. Results: The error rate and incidence rate of adverse reaction during the process of transfusion in observation group were lower than those in control group(P<0.01 and P<0.05),the satisfaction rate of patients in observation group was significantly better than that in control group(P<0.01),and the basic transfusion knowledge and basic skill of nurses in observation group were significantly better than those in control group(P<0.01).Conclusions: The quality monitoring during whole nursing course can strengthen the control of clinical blood transfusion process and key point, ensure the blood transfusion safety, and improve the satisfaction rate of patients.
