Clinical observation of the sequential therapy of traditional Chinese combined with western medicine in the treatment of chronic gastritis complicated with Helicobacter pylori infection

Objective:To study the effects of the sequential therapy of traditional Chinese combined with western medicine in the eradication of Helicobacter pylori(HP) for provoding the reference in treating chronic gastritis complicated with HP infection.Methods:Sixty patients with chronic gastritis complicated with HP infection were randomly divided into the group A,group B and control group(20 cases each group).The control group were treated with the sequential therapy of western medicine for 10 days,the group A were treated with the sequential therapy of western medicine for 10 days,then with traditional Chinese for 4 weeks,and the group B were treated with the sequential therapy of western medicine for 10 days,then with traditional Chinese for 2 weeks.The eradication rates of HP in three groups were observed,which was evaluated using symptom score scale.Results:The symptom scores in three groups after treatment were significnatly lower than those before treatment(P<0.01).The differences of the eradication rates of HP between three groups were not statistically significant after treatment(P>0.05).The incidence rates of adverse reactions in group A and group B were lower than that in control group(P<0.05).Conclusions:The sequential therapy of traditional Chinese combined with western medicine in the treatment of chronic gastritis complicated with HP infection can eradicate the HP and relieve symptoms,and the incidence rate of adverse reaction of which is lower than that of single sequential therapy of western medicine.
