The curative effect of endoscopic sinus surgery in the treatment of sinusitis and nasal polyp and its effect on nasal airflow

Objective:To explore the curative effects of endoscopic sinus surgery in the treatment of sinusitis and nasal polyp and its effect on nasal airflow.Methods:Ninety patients with sinusitis and nasal polyps were divided into the observation group and control group according to random number table method(45 cases each group).The control group and observation group were treated with conventional surgery and sinus endoscopy,respectively.The clinical curative effect,nasal airflow before and after operation,olfactory function between two groups were compared.Results:The clinical total effective rate in observation group(93.33%) was higher than that in control group(77.78%) (P<0.05).Compared before operation,the postoperative nasal airway resistance and scores of olfactory function in two groups decreased,and the improvement degree of which in observation group was better than that in control group(P<0.01).Conclusions:The clinical effect of endoscopic sinus surgery in the treatment of sinusitis and nasal polyp is better than that of traditional surgery,which can effectively improve the condition of nasal ventilation airflow and smell function.
