Study of asymmetry and three-dimensional localization of anterior wall of postcentral gyrus

Objective:To investigate the differences of the brain in different sides and genders.Methods:The images of transection plane,sagittal plane and coronal plane of brain in 42 right-hand people were investigated using MRI thin layer scanning.The central sulcus and postcentral gyrus were identified using the MRI,and the morphological characteristics of which was observed.Results:The results of MRI showed that the left anterior wall of postcentral gyrus in female was closer to the middle line,the right side anterior wall of postcentral gyrus in male was away from the middle line,the left side anterior wall of postcentral gyrus in male was closer to the front,and the height of anterior wall of postcentral gyrus in male was higher than that in female.Conclusions:The differences of the morphology of the central sulcus in different sides and genders may be related to the difference of brain function in different genders.
