    Study on the correlations between learning burnout, psychological capital and coping style in medical students

    • Objective: To investigate the correlations between learning burnout,psychological capital and coping style in medical students.Methods: One thousand six hundred and ten medical students from Bengbu Medical College were investigated using the College Students Learning Burnout Questionnaire,Positive Psychological Capital Questionnaire and Simple Coping Style Questionnaire,and the correlations between learning burnout,psychological capital and coping style in medical students were analyzed.Results: The score of learning burnout in students with high scores of psychological capital and positive coping was lower than that in students with low scores of psychological capital and positive copying(P<0.01).The score of learning burnout in students with high score of positive coping was higher than that in students with low score of positive coping(P<0.01).The hope,resilience,self-efficacy and positive coping were negatively correlated with learning burnout(P<0.01),and the negative coping was positively correlated with learning burnout(P<0.01).The resilience,psychological capital,positive coping and hope were negatively correlated with feeling down(P<0.05 to P<0.01).The hope,resilience and self-efficacy were negatively correlated with misbehave(P<0.01),and the negative coping and optimism were positively correlated with misbehave(P<0.01 and P<0.05).The self-efficacy,psychological capital and negative coping were negatively correlated with low achievement(P<0.01).Conclusions: The psychological capital,resilience,hope,optimism,positive and negative coping are significantly correlated with learning burnout.Negative coping is a positive predictor of learning burnout,and the other factors can predict the learning burnout in reverse.
