The analysis of the mediating effect of emotion management between attachment and interaction anxiety in rural junior school students

Abstract
Objective: To explore the mediating effect of emotion management between attachment and interaction anxiety in rural junior school students.Methods: Nine hundred and seventy-six junior school students from northern Anhui were investigated using the general condition questionnaire,Parent-child Attachment scale,Emotional Management scale and Interaction Anxiousness scale.The mediating effect of emotion management between attachment and interaction anxiety was analyzed.Results: The score of boys with father attachment was higher than that in girl with father attachment(P<0.05),and the differences of interaction anxiety,emotion management,mother attachment and peer attachment scores between boy and girl were not statistically significant(P>0.05).With the improvement of family economic condition,the level of students' communication anxiety gradually reduced(P<0.01),and the scores of emotional management and parent-child attachment of students with general and rich families were higher of students with poor families(P<0.05 to P<0.01).The scores of father attachment,mother attachment and peer attachment were positively correlated to emotional management(P<0.01),and the scores of emotional management,parents attachment and peer attachment were negatively correlated to social anxiety(P<0.01).The mediating effect of emotional management between attachment(mother attachment,father attachment and peer attachment) and interaction anxiety was found,the ratio of whose were 34.6%,40.0% and 25.5%,respectively.Conclusions: Emotion management plays a mediating effect between attachment and interaction anxiety,and the good emotion management can reduce the level of interaction anxiety in junior school students.
