The value of the detection of pepsinogen and gastrin-17 in the diagnosis of astrointestinal diseases

    • Objective:To analyze the diagnostic value of the pepsinogen and gastrin-17 in gastrointestinal diseases. Methods:Eighty patients with gastrointestinal diseases and 80 patients without gastrointestinal diseases were divided into the observation group and control group, respectively. The levels of pepsinogen Ⅰ,pepsinogen Ⅱ and gastrin -17 in two groups were detected using enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),and the levels of pepsinogen and gastrin-17 between two groups were compared. Results:The levels of pepsinogen and gastrin-17 in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group(P<0.01),but the ratio of PGⅠ/PGⅡ in observation group was significantly lower than that in control group(P<0.01).The levels of PGⅠ and gastrin-17 in patients with gastritis were significantly higher than those in patients with duodenal ulcer or gastric ulcer, but the levels of PGⅡ and PGⅠ/PGⅡ in patients with gastritis were significantly lower than those in patients with duodenal ulcer or gastric ulcer(P<0.05).The level of PGⅠ in patients with duodenal ulcer was similar to the patients with gastric ulcer(P>0.05).The level of gastrin-17 in patients with duodenal ulcer was significantly lower than that in patients with gastritis or gastric ulcer(P<0.05).The ratio of PGⅠ/PGⅡ in patients with gastric ulcer was significantly higher than that in patients with gastritis or duodenal ulcer(P<0.05),and the ratio of PGⅠ/PGⅡ in patients with gastritis was similar to the patients with duodenal ulcer(P>0.05).Conclusions:The levels of pepsinogen and gastrin-17 have certain value in the diagnosis of gastrointestinal diseases, which can be widely used in clinic.
