Correlation analysis of dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI quantitative parameters and apparent diffusion coefficient values with clinicopathological features in cervical cancer patients

    • Objective:To investigate the correlation of the dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI(DCE-MRI) quantitative parameters and apparent diffusion coefficient(ADC) values with clinicopathological features in cervical cancer patients.Methods:Fifty-two patients with cervical cancer and 25 inpatients without cervix disease were divided into the observation group and control group, respectively. The Ktrans,Kep,Ve and ADC values of DCE-MRI quantification parameters between two groups were compared. The change of scanning parameters in different lesions in two groups were observed. The correlation between quantitative parameters,ADC values, and clinicopathological features of cervical cancer patients were analyzed using the Spearman correlation analysis. Results:The ADC value in control group was higher than that in observation group, and the Ktrans,Kep and Ve values in control group were lower than those in observation group(P<0.01).The ADC value and Ktrans value in cervical squamous cell carcinoma were lower and higher than that in cervical adenocarcinoma,respectively(P<0.01).There was no statistical significance in the Ktrans,Kep,Ve and ADC values among the different lymph node metastasis, lymphovascular invasion, and tumor size(P>0.05).The differences of the Ktrans,Kep and ADC values in different differentiation degree cervical squamous cell carcinoma patients were statistically significant(P<0.05 to P<0.01).The results of Spearman correlation analysis showed that the differentiation degree and clinical stage of squamous cell carcinoma were negatively correlated with ADC values, the differentiation degree of squamous cell carcinoma was not correlated with the Ve value(P>0.05),and the clinical stage of squamous cell carcinoma were positively correlated with Ve value(P<0.01).Conclusions:The differentiation degree and clinical stage can be effectively evaluated according to the quantitative parameters of DCE-MRI and ADC values in cervical cancer patients.
