The value of single-port thoracoscopy in the treatment of pulmonary bullae

    • Objective:To explore the feasibility and effect of single-port thoracoscopy in the treatment of pulmonary bullae. Methods:Fifty patients with pulmonary bullae were randomly divided into the single-port group(26 cases) and control group(24 cases). The single-port group were treated with the thoracoscopic surgery, and the control group were treated with the traditional two or three ports thoracoscopic surgery. The incidence rate of complications and the indexes of postoperative recovery were compared between the two groups. Results:The operations in two groups were successfully completed, the patients were cured, and no perioperative death occurred. The anal exhaust time, bed time and hospitalization time in single port group were significantly shorter than those in control group(P<0.01),and the differences of the extubation time and incidence rate of complications between the two groups were not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusions:The effect of single-port thoracoscopy in the treatment of pulmonary bullae is good, which can effectively reduce the postoperative stress response of patients, promote the rapid body recovery, and reduce time and cost of treatment.
