Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the changes of global longitudinal strain(GLS) and 18 segments peak systolic longitudinal strain(LS) of left vertricle in patients with coronary heart disease(CHD) using speckle tracking imaging(STI).Methods:Thirty-five CHD patients with coronary artery stenosis rate ≥ 50% diagnosed by coronary angiography(CAG) and 25 patients without coronary artery stenosis were divided into the case group and control group, respectively. The LS of the apical four chamber views, two chamber views and three chamber views(AP4,AP2,AP3),GLS and 18 segments LS of the left vertricle were calculated in two groups. Results:The difference of the GLS between two groups was statistically significant(P<0.01).The LS in base segments of all wall, middle segments of anterior septum and inferior wall, apex segments of anterior wall and posterior septum in case group were lower than those in control group(P<0.05).The differences of LS of AP2,AP4 and AP3 in left ventricle between two groups were not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusions:STI echocardiography can quantitatively evaluate the early changes of the left vertricle myocardial systolic movement in patients with CHD.
