Abstract
Objective: To explore the clinical application value of multi-slice spiral CT(MSCT) in the diagnosis of occult minor fractures. Methods: One hundred and eighty-one patients with occult fractures were examined by X-ray,CR,conventional CT and multi-slice spiral CT,respectively. The detection rate of occult fractures among four methods were compared. Results: Among 181 patients, there were 46 cases of limbs fracture,52 cases of rib fracture,30 cases of pelvic fracture,25 cases of femoral neck fractures, and 28 cases of facial fractures. The differences of the detection and total detect rate of all type fractures were statistical significance(P<0.01),the highest of which was MSCT,followed by CT,CR and X-ray(P<0.05).The differences of the detection and total detect rate of different 3D reconstruction techniques of MSCT were statistical significance(P<0.01),and the total detect rates of MPR,SSD,VR and MIP were 100.00%,83.98%,66.30% and 31.49%,respectively(P<0.05).Conclusions: The application value of three-dimensional reconstruction technique of multi-slice spiral CT in the diagnosis of occult minor fracture is better than that of X-ray,CR and conventional CT.The effect of MPR reconstruction technology is the best, which is worthy of promotion in clinic.
